Highlighting and Contouring

When it comes to highlighting and contouring it simply means enhancing your best features. It defines your cheekbone, slims your nose and also sculpts your face. I usually get a lot of questions on how I contour and highlight. Hopefully this detailed post would help a lot of people who are curious and willing to learn. I haven't made any youtube videos lately due to laziness and lack of time. Therefore, I hope you guys enjoy this post on my blog.
STEP 1: I started with my highlight, using my LA pro girl concealer in toffee and Sephora collection concealer in #35. Usually I would use fawn from LA pro girl but I love the result I get from mixing  these two concealers.
STEP 2: As you can see I love to play around when doing my makeup, there's no logic to the tribal marks you see on my face. All you need to do is place your concealer which should be a shade or two lighter than your complexion on areas where you want to highlight. Which are under your eyes, the bridge of your nose, your chin, your forehead and your cupids bow.

STEP 3: Apply your contour using a concealer two or three shades darker than your complexion. I'm using the darkest shade in my mac concealer palette. I applied it to the hollows of my cheek, the sides of my nose and my temples (side of my forehead).

STEP 4: BLEND, BLEND, BLEND, this is the key when it comes to sculpting your face. I love to use the beauty blender, it is the easiest and fastest way to blend your concealer in my opinion.

STEP 5: Set the concealer, I use my ben nye banana powder to set my highlight and my bare minerals loose foundation powder in warm deep to set the contour.

STEP 6: Remove excess powder, I applied my mac studio fix foundation powder in NC45 on top to blend everything. FINISHED LOOK BELOW.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN CONTOURING AND HIGHLIGHTING, YOUR FACE SHAPE SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION.
Thumbs up if you liked this post and I hope you guys enjoyed it.
